The traditional feast of the camas bake is a tradition; camas bulbs are prepared, and steamed in an underground fire pit that has alder bark and skunk cabbage leaves placed on the camas bulbs, the pit is covered with dirt and water is poured down a hole to begin the steaming process. The camas bake was held on sept. 21, and traditional wakes are held when a tribal member dies, with food. Ceremonies are held that feature native dancing, stick games and horsemanship.
