- Yana, tell me, is there life after big sports?

- There is life, but absolutely different. It is filled with small family joys, home, husband, expecting a baby. Unfortunately, we are not taught in big sports to cook, iron, clean ... there is simply no time for that. Therefore, I had to master everything gradually. Now, of course, I can do everything, but it was not easy. The period that I am living is invaluable for me, I feel very happy.

- What was the most difficult thing after you finished your career?

- The first two months I didn't even leave the house, I lay there, I didn't want anything. Such a state when there are a lot of offers around, everyone wants to work with you, but you want to relax and distance yourself. Now, of course, everything is different: I go to master classes, filming, there are some things outside of sports ... I never had such things before (laughs).

- And how your day is being built ? What do you fill it with?

- At the moment, pregnancy strongly affects all my plans. It's been a long enough time, so it's hard for me to move around. I'll reveal the terrible truth: most of the day I spend on the couch, I lie there, eat and lie again, nothing to be done, the body demands.

- Do you have a feeling of understatement? Maybe when you look at the performances of young girls-gymnasts?

- There is probably no understatement. Of course, like all athletes, I wanted a gold medal at the Olympic Games, but got a silver one. But I am happy that I have it, it is a great work, in which a lot of effort has been invested. I gave my all in performances, that's why I ended my career in sports.

- Do you consider yourself as a coach?

- It seems to me that I could be a coach. Now I give many master classes and have already learned how to understand how to work with children. I know that I can shout and that this is normal. Although I used to think that I was very kind and would not be able to raise my voice to children. Therefore, I am considering this option, after giving birth, about a year later.

- But your life after the end of your career has changed a lot. Could you then, in 2016, assume that everything will start spinning so soonWill you soon become a wife, a mother?

- From the age of 17-18 I had a desire to become a mother, to get married. Too serious and responsible desire for this age. But the sport took all the strength, and I didn't want to walk and have fun, I wanted a family. So I believed, waited and thought about it. For me, of course, the fact that it all happened so quickly and so easily is very unexpected. But I have never regretted it.

- Do you follow the competitions now?

- Of course, I watch everything: gymnastics, football, and hockey. It seems to me that what sports are on TV, I watch those. Although after the Olympics for a year I didn't watch anything, I didn't want to.

- Was it oversaturation?

- Yes, oversaturation. I didn't want to look, walk or do anything at all. I wanted to live my life at least a little, to do what I myself want. It was such a difficult period.

- When you watch your husband's games, do you worry more about him personally or for the team?

- I am in such a position now that I I can't worry, but I look anyway. I worry more so that there is no injury. If Salavat Yulaev loses, then I try to calm him down. There will be more victories, health is of course more important.

- Is your support important for him? After all, there are athletes who, on the contrary, forbid their relatives to go to matches, to support them in the stands, since it is emotionally difficult for them.

- I sometimes ask whether to go to his game, suddenly I'm in the way, but on the contrary, he only wants me to be there, so we don't have such a problem.

- You have traveled a lot during your sports career. Do you have a desire to return somewhere now?

- I like to travel to different countries. True, now in my position is the only available route: Moscow - Ufa - Moscow. If we talk about traveling during the competition, now I understand that I was everywhere, and I saw only a hotel. We were not taken out on any excursions, there was no time at all to see the city, so now it was time for me to travel and look at the world from the other side.

- And yet there is some place you would like to return to?

- I really liked Vienna, Austria, but I was there at an unconscious age, I hardly remember anything except what was there well. I love Germany very much.

- Do you have any personal projects in your plans?

- I'm open to everything new, but next year. Now I am in a position, so it is difficult to think about something like that, thoughts are not at all about that (smiles). But next year is a must. It may or may not be sports related.

- Such sports parents are a big responsibility for a child, have you thought about it?

- Where to send the child? I dont know. Before, I would have said that I would never have given my daughter to rhythmic gymnastics, but now I already doubt it, suddenly she will like it. The husband wants his daughter to be a gymnast. But in any case, we will start from the child's desires, from her physical characteristics.

- If the child decides that he wants to go to rhythmic gymnastics, will you train her?

- No, I can never be a coach for my daughter. It seems to me that it is very difficult. I saw many examples where mom trained her daughter, and it never ended well. I think that she will be more permissible than other children, if I train her, there will be some indulgence. I am ready to coach other people's children, but not my own.

- Was it important for you that the coach is the coach and the parents are the parents?

- My mother has always been a mother, and my father was the second coach. But it was their support as parents that was very important to me: no matter what happened, I knew that they were on my side.
