Moscow parks can be called an ideal place for spending summer weekends. Shade from trees, flowering meadows, picnics by the water - just a picture from a romantic comedy. All that remains is to add some fun. And this has already been taken care of for you. Every year, the parks of the capital host dozens, if not hundreds, of various festivals and vibrant sports events. We have put together our own must-visit list for this summer.

Street point

Where : in Sokolniki

What: street sports festival. There are basketball freestyle competitions, street team competitions and an entertainment program. Participation is free. You can not only play yourself, but also come to cheer for your favorite team. Or just discover new sports.

What: a contemporary dance festival. The program includes mini-performances; unique techniques and methods in the classroom for professionals and for those who dance only at home. In addition, guests will receive a lecture on topical issues that viewers and performers of modern dance have. It will be hosted by the founder of the project and festival Alexander Mogilev, choreographer of the show Dancing on TNT and winner of the project Dance on Channel One.

Crazy Squirrel Night Sprint

When: July 6 at 22:00

Where : in Izmailovsky Park

What: a night obstacle race. Distance - 1 mile (1600 meters). The park will have 20+ obstacles and professional photos from the track. Participation is paid, 1800-2000 rubles per person. An important condition is that the teams must be paired (male and female).

Drone racing

When: 3 August

Where: in Northern Tushino Park

What: park festival of drones. Guests will be delighted with spectacular races, demonstrations, master classes for children and adults in driving on a special training track. Drone racing is a very young, high-tech and exciting sport. Anyone can learn how to drive racing cars, regardless of age, gender and physical capabilities.

Lady on the bike. Romantic Provence

When: August 4

Where: in Sokolniki

What: a traditional bicycle parade. This time, the project participants will have to decorate their image in violet-lilac color, and decorate bicycles with lavender flowers. You can feel yourself in an alluring France.

Skateboard

  • Lianozovsky Park will hold free skateboard and stunt scooter lessons every weekend.
  • A 24-hour Vans skate park and a skate school for children and adults have opened in Gorky Park.

Rollers

  • In Izmailovsky Park, adults and children are taught to ride on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • In Gorky Park until October, from Monday to Friday, there is a roller skating and scooter school for those over three years old.
