Race calendar 2019: prove Moscow is a city for running

It is necessary to start a new running season not only beautifully, but also on a large scale, so we alternate training in the park with mass races. The running community's program includes 150 thousand participants from 80 countries of the world, more than 30 thousand fans and hundreds of kilometers of tracks. We have collected for you all the significant events from April to October in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Start season. April Race

When: April 7
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distance: 5 km.

Traditionally, the season will open with a race that will gather joggers after the winter break. Participants will cover five fast kilometers through the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex and will receive a boost of motivation for the entire season.

Run with a friend. Run Fast Dog

When: April 20 and October 5
Where: Moscow, Bitsevsky Forest
Distance: 2 km

Fast Dog is a charity race with dogs. Starting with your pet is a special pleasure. The participants will have a two-kilometer track, gifts in the starter package and admiration of the fans.

Spend the weekend running. Cross Fox Mountain

When: April 21 and October 6
Where: Moscow, Bitsevsky Les
Distances: 2 to 8 km

You have two whole opportunities to start on the cross-country race in Bitsevsky forest. Fresh air, a ring track in the meadow and separate starts for different age categories are one of the best ways to spend an active weekend.

Feel the rhythm of the capital. Moscow Half Marathon

When: May 19
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distances: 21.1 , 10 and 5 km

The route of the race runs in one circle along the embankments of the capital, past the main attractions of the city. This year the event will again be held within the framework of the all-Russian project Zabeg.rf.

Cheer yourself up. Colorful race

When: June 2
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distance: 5 km

At the brightest race of the season, participants will find four colorful zones at the distance and a fantastic fireworks. This is one of the few startups where smiles and good mood are valued more than the result.

To light the way. Night Run

When: July 13
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distance: 10 km

Jogging along the artistically illuminated embankments of Moscow is the very case when you don't even want to rush anywhere. We start right after sunset.

Arrange a tour of St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg Half Marathon Northern Capital

When : August 4
Where: St. Petersburg, Palace Square
Distances: 10 km and 21.1 km

A romantic running excursion along Nevsky Prospekt, majestic embankments and famous bridges awaits you.

Spend the summer. Luzhniki Half Marathon

When: August 18
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distance: 21.1 km

This is not just a half marathon, but a real running holiday with food court, music and entertainment.

See the city. Absolut Moscow Marathon

When: September 22
Where: Moscow, Luzhniki
Distances: 42, 2 and 10 km

This is the main marathon of the country and the visiting card of the capital. Professionals and joggers will go to the start to run along the main streets and see the world famous sights of the city: Moscow City skyscrapers, the White House, Stalin's skyscrapers, the Bolshoi Theater, the Kremlin and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

For the most little ones

For young sports fans in the new season, 400 and 800 m races will be held on the eve of the biggest starts of the season:

  • May 18 - children's race as part of the Moscow Half Marathon
  • August 3 - children's race as part of the St. Petersburg Severnaya Stolitsa Half Marathon
  • August 17 - children's race as part of the Luzhniki half marathon
  • September 21 - children's race as part of the Moscow Absolute Marathon.
