Post-New Year Detox: How to Unload Yourself?

The clinking of glasses and the clatter of fireworks are a thing of the past. It's time to think about returning to your usual working regime. One of the most popular options is detox, that is, nutrition under conditions of restriction. It not only restores the body, but also makes it possible to explore yourself, your attachments and body reactions. We recommend experimenting with avoiding animal products such as meat, eggs and dairy products. It is not at all necessary to exclude everything from the diet at once. Try different options and combinations, listen to your body.

Here are just a few dietary patterns:

● Minimize the intake of animal protein and replace it with plant protein. Replace meat, fish and dairy products with legumes, spinach, pumpkin seeds.

● Give up cottage cheese, cheese, meat and fish, but keep drinking fermented milk products (fermented baked milk, kefir, yogurt).

● Avoid foods containing gluten.

Diversity won't make you bored

Be aware of the variety of dishes. Your food shouldn't be the same type. Through detox, the body learns to change, learns to give up attachments and gains freedom from habits.

Lentil and cheese salad

Ingredients:
● 1/3 cup lentils
● 80 g of Adyghe cheese
● 1/4 tomato
● 1/3 bell pepper
● 2 Chinese cabbage leaves
● 1/3 cup salad mix
● 1/8 red onion head
● 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
● 1 teaspoon sugar
● 1 teaspoon olive oil
● 1 small bunch of parsley and dill
● Salt, ground black pepper

Preparation:

● Chop the red onion into small cubes, season with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with sugar and marinate for 1 hour.
● Rinse the lentils under running water. Soak for 30 minutes, then drain, pour in new and boil until tender in salted water.
● Cut the cheese into small cubes.
● Cut a quarter of a tomato in half.
● Cut sweet peppers and Chinese cabbage into medium strips.
● Finely chop the greens.
● In a large container, combine vegetables, greens, lentils, cheese and olive oil and vinegar dressing.
● If necessary, salt and pepper.

Fried cheese with vegetables

Ingredients:
● 100 g of Adyghe cheese
● 1/3 bell peppers
● 1/4 carrots
● 1/4 zucchini
● 1 small potato tuber
● 3-4 cherry tomatoes
● 1 small bunch cilantro and parsleyand
● 1/2 tsp of sesame seeds
● 1 tbsp. spoon of soy sauce
● ground black pepper

Preparation:

● Cut the cheese into small steaks and fry in a hot skillet without adding oil on both sides.
● Cut vegetables into large cubes, fry until tender in a hot frying pan.
● Season with pepper and soy sauce.
● When the vegetables are cool, mix them with chopped herbs and toasted sesame seeds.
● Put cheese and vegetables on a plate.

Buckwheat with soy sprouts

Ingredients:
● 1/3 cup buckwheat grits
● 1/2 cup soy sprouts
● 1/4 carrots
● 1/8 onions
● 1/3 sweet pepper
● 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
● cinnamon, salt, ground black pepper
● 1 small bunch of arugula (optional)

Preparation:
● Rinse buckwheat and boil until tender.
● Cut vegetables into medium strips, fry in a dry frying pan and add spices.
● Mix buckwheat with vegetables, soy sprouts and arugula, season with soy sauce.

Rice with tofu omelet

Ingredients:
● 1/3 cup brown rice
● 1/4 carrot
● 1/2 head of onion
● 3-4 cherry tomatoes
● 2-3 tbsp. tablespoons of soy sprouts
● 80 g of tofu
● 1 small bunch of cilantro and parsley
● 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
● turmeric

Preparation:
● Boil and rinse the rice.
● Pass the tofu through a meat grinder together with turmeric, mix well.
● Cut the onion into medium cubes, grate the carrots, cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
● Fry onions and carrots in a dry frying pan for 1-2 minutes, then add cherry and soy sprouts, soy sauce and minced tofu, reduce heat and, stirring constantly, heat everything evenly. Finally, add coarsely chopped greens.
● Put brown rice and tofu omelet on a plate.

Strength in motion

Try to move more during the New Years weekend. Go with your family or friends to the ice rink, visit museums that don't have enough time on weekdays, take a walk around your city. Remember that in a global sense, detoxification is not only a cleansing of habits and diet, but also cleansing of thoughts.
