In his immortal poems, Pushkin repeatedly addressed the theme of the marathon and promoted running, ”explains Elena Gracheva, program coordinator of the AdVita charity foundation and teacher of literature and Russian language. - In the poem "Winter Morning" he directly calls on the reader to participate in the marathon: "Dear friend, let us run." The very title of the poem speaks of a subtle understanding of Petersburg life - Pushkin knew that snow in Petersburg could fall in June as well, and tried in advance to encourage the participants in the marathon. “My friend, run, run,” says Zemfira Aleko, inviting not only single runners to participate, but entire families as well. And Pushkin has no hero more sorrowful than Boris Godunov, who simply has nowhere to run, because he lives in Moscow, and not in St. Petersburg - he just says: “And I'm glad to run, but nowhere ... awful!”. If Pushkin's characters were alive, they would run faster than a doe to congratulate their creator on his birthday!
