28-Day Soup Detox Cleanse to Lose Weight (Meal Plans Included) | Joanna Soh
Liquid diet: what happens to the body if there are only soups
Soup is a dish well known to us from childhood. Hundreds of recipes can be found around the world: cold, hot, spicy, creamy, revitalizing and even medicinal. Today they are included in detox and weight loss diets. Together with a professional nutritionist and nutritionist Anna Berseneva we figure out whether it is really useful to eat soups when losing weight and how to cook them correctly.
10 of the most high-calorie foods that can be in the refrigerator
Interestingly, not all of them are harmful.
Quickly satiates, contains many vitamins and few calories
You can eat even a small portion of soup, despite the fact that its calorie content is relatively low. The energy value of a soup largely depends on the broth. The least fatty is mushroom, it contains only 4.28 kcal per 100 g. Vegetable, chicken, fish or beef is also suitable for those who are losing weight. And the fattest soup will come from pork, in such a broth there are about 40 kcal per 100 g.
Vegetables, legumes and cereals in soups are a source of vitamins. If the ingredients are not pre-fried, then both in the broth and in the components themselves, it will be possible to preserve a significant part of the nutrients. And some vegetables are even better to eat after heat treatment, for example, carrots, tomatoes and broccoli. Cooked cabbage contains 30% more carotenoids than fresh cabbage - these pigments protect cells from malignant transformation.
Hot soups are great for warming and giving energy in the cold season, and in the summer you can try one of the cold recipes ... The ingredients in them are not exposed to high temperatures, which means they retain even more vitamins.
The wrong sandwich: a healthy alternative to a harmful sandwich
Your usual breakfast or snack might be better if you replace a few ingredients.
However, if you don't have gastrointestinal problems, you don't need to eat soups regularly. All the necessary nutrients can be obtained from regular solid foods.
Anna: Soup, like any other dish, can be different. If it contains a lot of frying - vegetables fried in sunflower oil, it is cooked in fatty broth or with flavor enhancers, such a dish cannot be called useful. And the fact that you need to eat soups regularly is actually a big myth.
Italian pasta or Japanese rolls: in which country of the world the healthiest cuisine?
The answer to this question is almost impossible, but we still tried to figure it out.
Although there are really healthy recipes - for example, broccoli cream soup or spinach, we often prepare soups with a lot of ingredients, including fatty ones. And so that undertaking an enzyme for each of them and digesting food, the body is forced to make additional efforts, explains the nutritionist.
They can replace breakfast, lunch and dinner, but not for long
First courses are often included in the diet, to lose weight. The broth fills the stomach and quickly satisfies hunger. But if the soup is low-fat and with a small amount of components, it also digests quickly, and very soon you will want to eat again. And this provokes overeating. In this case, it is better to immediately eat something more satisfying, but low in calories, such as fish and vegetable salad.

However, some diets consist exclusively of soups. This nutrition program assumes that for 7-10 days you will only eat liquid meals. After that, steamed fruits and meat are gradually returned to the diet.
The diet with celery soup is especially popular. Although this vegetable is rich in silicon and fiber, it is not easy to eat exclusively on it: the monotonous food soon becomes boring, moreover, it does not provide enough energy. Moreover, with this regime, the body lacks protein and fiber, so it can go into fasting mode and maintain weight. And the effect of such a menu is exactly the opposite.
Emotional hunger: how to stop seizing stress
To relieve stress, you don't have to go to fast food.
Besides, celery is a strong allergen and is not suitable for everyone. If a person with hay fever (seasonal allergy to pollen) goes on such a diet for a week, it will put a strong load on the immune system, the nutritionist warns.
When we switch to liquid diets from juices, broths, soups, the body is rebuilt and is not getting the right amount of dietary fiber. And from the point of view of losing weight, this is also not a plus, the nutritionist notes. Fiber, such as in green leaves and vegetables, is a coarse dietary fiber that helps cleanse the body and triggers intestinal motility (the movement of food through the digestive tract). All this contributes to weight normalization.
Anna: I would recommend adding soup to the diet for certain health conditions, such as pancreatitis. When it is difficult for the body to process coarse dietary fiber, it is better to choose heat-treated vegetables, including ground in a puree soup.
The best - the enemy of the good: why is junk food not so bad?
It turns out that not all healthy snacks are the best alternative for your figure.
If you follow the technology of cooking - do not use fatty broths, food additives and not frying vegetables in refined oil - soups can be very useful, including for the figure. They are easy to digest and can be quickly absorbed.pouring hunger. However, not all of them are nutritious, and you will most likely want to eat something else after lunch. The main thing is that this delicacy is useful.
