Sub 2 Hour Marathon – NIKE #BREAKING2 Attempt

Breaking2. New world record in the marathon.

Nike is revolutionizing running. This morning, the first attempt by athletes to run a marathon distance in two hours took place. As part of the Breaking project , three titled athletes, Lelisa Desisa, Eliud Kipchoge and Zersenay Tadese, went to the start with the sole goal of running the 42.2 km marathon in less than two hours .

Recall that until today the best result belonged to Kenyan Dennis Kimetto - he finished at the Berlin Marathon in September 2014 with a time of 2:02:57. Preparation for this day lasted two years, and the best specialists from all over the world were involved in it: sports psychologists, nutritionists, biomechanics, engineers.
