DAVID BLAINE'S TOP 7 MAGIC TRICKS FINALLY REVEALED

5 tricks without which there would be no Rocky, Gol and other cult films

Sometimes filmmakers have to go for some tricks to shoot a scene exactly where it's needed. Someone lies about the script of the film, others arrange underground filming to save money. We have collected stories about famous films, whose creators had to dodge to reproduce their plans.

Green Street Hooligans (2005)

Who would have imagined that the management of West Ham football club would allow filming on a movie about hooligans in your stadium? Nobody, not even the creators of Green Street Hooligans. According to the plot, the main character arrives in London, where he finds himself in the environment of football hooligans. At the beginning of the film, for the first time in his life, he comes to football in the company of hammer fans for a match against Birmingham City, it was this scene that was filmed at Upton Park stadium. The scene itself may seem harmless, but immediately after the match, a fight between fans takes place in the film. Until the release of the film, the club's management was confident that it was dedicated to football, so they did not interfere. In England, since the 1980s, there has been a real fight against football hooligans, after the tragedies that killed more than a hundred people. The management of the club, which at that moment claimed to return to the Premier League, could not afford to appear in such a story, so they tried to disown this project as quickly as possible.

Rocky (1976)

One of the main symbols of the entire Rocky series is the staircase leading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The hero of Sylvester Stallone fled across the city, after which he climbed 72 steps, turned to face the city and threw his hands up. It is in this position that the bronze figure of an actor in the form of a boxer stands on the very staircase. Many believe that this staircase has gained more popularity than the museum itself, which is one of the largest in the United States. It is impossible to imagine films about the Italian stallion without this ladder, but many do not know that when the first film was made, the crew did not have permission to shoot in Philadelphia. Stallone lived in Philadelphia for many years, and the heroes of his film were residents of this particular city. But the producers filmed the tape in Los Angeles, and in the conditions of a small budget, it was unprofitable to apply for a filming permit in Philadelphia. Then the director of the film, John Avildsen, offered to shoot without permission as soon as possible. As a result, all the street scenes were filmed in 10 days.

Knockdown (2005)

A film about heavyweight boxer Jim Braddock, who is forced to leave sports to support his family during the Great Depression. He works for a long time where he has to, but in the end he gets a chance to return to the ring. This leads him to a fight for the world title, after several years of hungry life.

In the scene of the last fight, it was necessary to fill the hall with spectators in order to recreate the surroundings of the fight for the world title. Inviting extras is an expensive pleasure, firstly, because it is necessary toA large number of people, and secondly, because the shooting was delayed, but more on that later. To create the appearance of a huge number of fans, the hall was filled with dolls.

Filming took longer than planned due to the fact that the filmmakers tried to make the film realistic. In the rivals, the main character had real professional boxers who had to stop the blow as close to the actor's body as possible, to say that they did not always succeed, to say nothing. Russell Crowe, who played the role of Braddock, was coached by the famous Russian boxer Kostya Tszyu, but this did not help him much. A concussion, a dislocated shoulder, several broken teeth - this is not a complete list of injuries sustained by the leading actor.

Goal (2005)

The main character of the film Santiago Munez dreams of playing football professionally. He has an unexpected opportunity after being spotted by former footballer Glen Floy. Santiago is saving money for a trip to England, where he will be screened at Newcastle United. Despite all the difficulties, the hero makes his way to the team and starts playing for the main team. In the final scene of the film, Santiago scores a goal against Liverpool. The creators had a difficult task - to stage a full-fledged match, if the stands could be filled with dolls, then what about the match itself? A solution was found: the filmmakers took a recording of the real match of the 2004/05 season. That goal was scored by Newcastle midfielder Laurent Robert.

Race (2013)

The film tells about the confrontation between two pilots Formula 1: Niki Lauda and James Hunt. The events of the film take place in the 70s of the twentieth century, many tracks, on which at that time the competitions were held, no longer exist or have been rebuilt. The filmmakers required almost documentary accuracy, so they had to study archival videos, look for similar tracks, and recreate tracks using computer graphics. For example, the creators managed to very accurately recreate the accident of Niki Lauda, but they did not use real footage of the accident. The scene was filmed at the same bend, a 3D scanned image of a real 1976 car was added to the footage using digital technologies. But, despite all the aspirations of the filmmakers to documentary, it was not without mistakes, for example, during the scene of the very Grand Prix on the Nürburgring track, where the accident with Lauda's participation, attentive spectatorsThey said that part of the race takes place on a section of the track that appeared only after 1984.
